Price of Fees and Services for Annual Maintenance of Ukrainian Patents

The Ukrainian patent for an invention is valid for 20 years. Every Ukrainian patent must be maintained annually. The term of validity starts from the date of filing the application. To renew the patent, the owner or their representative must:

• pay the fee;
• notify the Ukrainian patent office of the need to renew the patent.

The official fee can be paid no earlier than two months before the expiration of the patent. After renewal, the Ukrainian state patent office sends an official notification that the patent has been renewed and is active.

If the patent is not renewed on time, it will be temporarily suspended for 1 year. Within 12 months (after the missed deadline), the patent for the invention can be restored with a penalty. If the patent is not paid and renewed, after one year it will be completely terminated without the right to restoration.

A non-resident of Ukraine is required to act exclusively through a patent attorney.

Price of Patent Attorney Services for Maintaining Patents in Ukraine

All prices are listed in USD for legal entities that own patents.

• 100 USD – from the 1st to the 5th year of the patent
• 150 USD – from the 6th to the 10th year
• 200 USD – from the 11th to the 15th year
• 250 USD – from the 16th to the 20th year

For individual inventors, a 50% discount is provided.
