Patent Search — Search for patent applications in Ukraine
Ukraine provides open access to patents for inventions, utility models, and published patent applications through the online platform of the National Patent Office of Ukraine.
The search interface is available in both Ukrainian and English, but all search results are displayed exclusively in Ukrainian. You can perform a search based on the following criteria:
- Patent number,
- Application submission date and/or number,
- Date from which the rights are effective,
- Number or date of the prior application,
- Country code,
- Publication date of patent issuance,
- Bulletin number,
- International Patent Classification index,
- Description (text fragment, keywords),
- Abstract (text fragment, keywords),
- Claim (text fragment, keywords),
- Date and/or number of the earlier application from which the current one is derived,
- Name or title of the applicant,
- Applicant’s country code,
- Inventor,
- Inventor’s country code,
- Patent owner,
- Owner’s country code,
- Representative,
- National phase entry date,
- PCT application submission date and/or number,
- Address for correspondence (toponyms and location names).
You can select one or several criteria for your search. The system also provides filtering options based on different intellectual property objects, such as inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, and copyright. You can choose whether to search for an «application» and/or an «official document.»
Search results can be exported in .xlsx or .docx formats, either in full or selectively.
For each identified patent, the following documents are accessible for download in Ukrainian: bibliographic data, claims, descriptions, and abstracts. The abstract is available in English.
In «view mode,» a list of all documents, numbers, and dates of the current case status is provided, but access to document downloads is restricted unless you are an authorized representative for the application or patent in question.
Notifications (publications) about the status of the documents, such as termination, renewal, transfer of rights, or licenses, are also available.
The cost of searching and conducting patent research in Ukraine is determined individually, typically based on the time spent by a specialist.
